Deathstreak Assassin was an organisation established back in 2012, first as a Call of Duty Clan with a few friends on PS3. The Clan itself derived from another call BBW but since their Owner went MIA, the fellow clanmates felt the most suitable leader would be Niyaz and since then both him and Ninja (Dylan) created what we now know as Deathstreak Assassin. DSA continued to be a clan on various games, predominantly Rainbow Six Siege and GTA V up until 2019-2020 where Niyaz discovered the Overwatch competitive scene. As a player that competed under another team whom later got promoted as a Co-owner of another Overwatch competing organisation, he saw the potential DSA could have, and requested to step down and work on DSA instead. He then focused on evolving the clan into an Organisation, started creating competitive teams and used the contacts he gained and from there DSA managed to make a presence in the competitive scene.Â
DSA Nemesis was the first ever competitive overwatch team, a Tier 3 team based in NA whom were also the first to win a competition under the DSA name. DSA continued to expand by creating more teams including DSA Arc Angels, a Tier 4 NA team, DSA Orion a Tier 5/6 team and even EU based Overwatch teams, DSA Kairos, Noir and Apollo! All of which had managers and players and each competed in their own competitions. DSA then expanded onto other games and platforms, seeing an EU and NA siege team (Triton and Vulcan) and a CSGO team (Galiant).
DSA also extended into the community aspect by introducing Creators Connect, Writers Hall (a place for story tellers and Poets), SitNChill Podcast, DSA Events and so on. Our hands were getting tied to a point where Management started to make deals with existing organisations to merge, in order to get more manpower to expand and maintain the DSA Umbrella. Deathstreak Assassin was at a point where several organisations relied on us for players and advice, which led to DSA creating the OOU (Org Owners Universal) where every major Organisation and Tournament were in attendance to have a unified banning system and keep in regular contact with one another for various reasons - including to prevent tournament seasons from overlapping.
